On June 12, 1982, the Texxas Jam brought Journey, Santana, Sammy Hagar, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Point Blank to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The following day, the event moved to Houston’s Astrodome. Two cities, two dates and a lineup that still brings back a particular summer.
