The story. The details.

July 13 · London + Philadelphia

Live Aid 1985.
Two stages. One signal.

A short-sleeve, double-sided tribute to the day rock and pop turned a global broadcast into a worldwide call to help — built around the unforgettable visual language of Live Aid.

The story behind the shirt

When music tried to move the world.

On July 13, 1985, Live Aid linked Wembley Stadium in London with JFK Stadium in Philadelphia for a landmark benefit concert created to raise money for famine relief in Africa.

Led by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, the event became a defining moment of 1980s music culture: major artists performed across the Atlantic while television and satellite links carried the show around the world.

Wembley Stadium’s own anniversary archive describes Live Aid as roughly 16 hours of live music, broadcast to more than one billion people in 110 countries, with over £100 million raised for the cause.

More than a concert shirt: the artwork captures the era when a T-shirt could carry a lineup, a location, a message and a piece of music history all at once.

Style A · The Global Jukebox

Design read: the colorful “Global Jukebox” graphic captures Live Aid’s worldwide-broadcast idea, while the back turns the shirt into an archival concert piece with the Africa-and-guitar image, venue references and performer names.

Style B · Philadelphia / Feed The World

A cleaner front. A statement back.

Design read: the rainbow Philadelphia graphic keeps the front restrained and unmistakably ’80s; the “Feed The World” back print carries the event’s two-city identity, July 13, 1985 date and a dense wall of artist names.

Why the graphics matter

Four details that tell the whole story.

01
The Global JukeboxLive Aid was conceived as a worldwide musical event, with London and Philadelphia connected through an unprecedented global broadcast.
02
Wembley + JFKThe two main stages made the shirt instantly geographic: one day, two continents, one event unfolding across the Atlantic.
03
Africa + GuitarThe silhouette fuses music with the humanitarian purpose behind the concert — a simple image with an unmistakable message.
04
Lineup TypographyThe dense back prints feel like an old concert handbill: names, places and date arranged as wearable memorabilia.

A lineup that reads like music history

U.S. rock-tee fan favorite details

The kind of tee people stop to look at twice.

★★★★★

Why vintage-tee fans give this look the thumbs-up

Front + back art · archival concert feel

  • Double-sided storytelling: the back matters just as much as the front.
  • Instant conversation piece: recognizable 1985 references without needing a loud outfit.
  • Easy American casual styling: works naturally with denim, worn-in jackets, boots or classic sneakers.
  • Collector energy: feels closer to concert memorabilia than a generic modern graphic tee.

How to wear it

Keep the rest simple.

01
Classic denimWashed blue jeans or straight black denim let the archival graphics do the work.
02
Under a trucker jacketLeave the front open so the Live Aid artwork reads like a vintage gig tee found on the road.
03
Relaxed and unforcedShort sleeves, white body and strong back art make it easy to wear without over-styling.

More than nostalgia

Wear a moment when music meant something bigger.

Live Aid remains one of the most recognizable benefit-concert moments of the 1980s. This tee carries that history through venue names, lineup typography and artwork made to be seen from both directions.
